Old Farm Road R&R Psychiatry offers Replacement and Recovery resources for opiate addiction. Replacement therapy comes in the form buprenorphine (Suboxone) which, after the first month, is prescribed for a month at a time. Recovery resources come in the form of additional counseling with a recovery technician so that each client can find a support structure that supports long-term sobriety.
Our staff encourages utilizing the many recovery resources in our community and helps patients connect with the help and treatment plan they need.
If patients decide they would like to detoxify even from buprenorphine, we work with clients to gain the tools and structural supports necessary, so that they will have the best chance of success in reaching that goal.
Old Farm Road R&R Psychiatry was founded in 2011 by Dr. James Standefer, MD, Board certified in both adult and child/adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Standefer also has degrees in social work (MSW) and divinity studies (MDiv) which complement his recovery-based approach to opiate replacement treatment. Dr. Standefer also works with a Recovery Technician who assists in individualizing your recovery approach. He collaborates closely with your therapist or counselor, or helps you find these resources.
